In Mondseeland there are ideal conditions for cross-country skiing. There are three classic and one skating trails with a total length of 19 kilometers in Oberwang / Nußdorf (classic cross-country skiing equipment can be borrowed from Gasthof Waldfrieden). There are many more cross-country trails in Mondseeberg, Tiefgraben, Oberhofen and St. Lorenz. If there is a lot of snow, you can start right near your holiday home.

Natural toboggan run in Tiefgraben!
The illuminated natural toboggan run in Tiefgraben promises pure winter fun. The friendly Niederbrucker family has a few toboggans ready to borrow for those spontaneous who don’t bring their own toboggan.
An illuminated ice stock rink with ice stock rental is also available. And after the tobogganing fun, you can fortify yourself in the snack station.
Skiing is possible for beginners and families at the Hochplett lifts in Oberaschau. There are two tow lifts available in Oberaschau – perfect for learning to ski and snowboard. There is also a charming ski area in Gaissau-Hintersee. 30 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes of all levels of difficulty run along 8 lifts and convince winter-loving athletes with varied runs. Both are not far from your vacation home. In the Salzkammergut there are also other ski areas that are suitable for beginners as well as for experienced and professionals.
